Tom Russell
Tom Russell grew up in a small town in the Adirondack Mountains surrounded by iconic Adirondack great camps and the natural beauty that inspired them. Born into a family of builders, he learned to appreciate quality construction and developed a deep respect for the land and wild places.
Tom graduated from Northwood School in Lake Placid, and spent 2 years at Clarkson University before moving west to attend the University of Colorado Boulder, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. While attending school and for a dozen years after, Tom worked as a carpenter building luxury custom homes, guiding for the Colorado Outward Bound School and ski patrolling at Copper Mountain. Seeking new challenges, Tom moved to Utah continue his education in the Masters of Architecture program at the University of Utah. He began his Architecture career in 1999 in Salt Lake City, and has been designing (and occasionally building) quality custom homes since then. In 2006, he moved with his family to Sandpoint, joining the Boden Architecture team in 2016.
Traveling by bicycle whenever possible, when Tom isn’t working he can be found skiing in the Schweitzer backcountry or out on the lake sailing, paddle boarding, and waterskiing.
